Which Airline Is Cheapest? Data from Our Fare Checks
Which airline most often had the cheapest fare on our 48 routes from Türkiye (22 August 2026 – 22 October 2026)? Days cheapest and share by airline.
“Which airline is cheapest?” has no single answer: it depends on the route and the date. We looked at our own data instead. For every route and flight date, our fare checks record which airline offered the lowest one-way fare that day and which airlines offered a fare at all. This post covers 48 popular routes and 2,897 route-days with flight dates between 22 August 2026 – 22 October 2026.
How to read the table
- Days cheapest: route-days on which the airline had the lowest fare of the day.
- Days with a fare: route-days on which the airline offered any fare on the route.
- Share cheapest: days cheapest divided by days with a fare. A high share with few days can be luck; read it together with the day counts.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Türk Hava Yolları | 479 | 1,183 | 40% | 48 |
| Pegasus | 141 | 379 | 37% | 21 |
| AJet | 100 | 227 | 44% | 9 |
| Air Serbia | 96 | 308 | 31% | 16 |
| Gulf Air | 65 | 138 | 47% | 8 |
| LOT Polish Airlines | 60 | 291 | 21% | 13 |

| Etihad Airways | 24 | 196 | 12% | 10 |
| flydubai | 19 | 97 | 20% | 4 |
What the data says
- Domestic routes: Türk Hava Yolları had the lowest fare on 259 of 1,001 domestic route-days.
- International routes: Türk Hava Yolları had the lowest fare on 220 of 1,896 international route-days.
- The answer depends on the route: these results reflect the routes we track. On a route we don’t track, a different airline may be cheaper.
Limits
The data covers about two months of flight dates and our popular routes only. Each date’s value is the last fare our checks saw for it. Fares change constantly; for current fares, use each route’s fare calendar from our flight price report or search flights.
