What Is a PNR? How to Look Up and Download Your Booking

When you buy a flight ticket you receive a six-character code: the PNR (Passenger Name Record). It is your booking’s address in airline systems.

Where do I find my PNR?

• In your booking confirmation e-mail and e-ticket, usually labelled “Booking reference”, “Reservation code” or “PNR”,
• In your Kolay Seyahat account, in the booking details under My account.

A PNR is made of letters and digits (e.g. AB12CD). Every passenger on the same booking shares the PNR; the ticket number is different for each passenger and has 13 digits.

What can I do with a PNR?

1. Look up the booking: flight times, passengers and ticket status.
2. Check in online: on the airline’s website or app, with your PNR and surname.
3. Changes and extras: the airline or we will ask for it when you change a seat, baggage or date.

How to look up a booking on Kolay Seyahat

1. Open the booking lookup page.
2. Enter your PNR and the surname of one of the passengers. For hotel bookings you can enter your booking reference in the same field.
3. The flight details, passengers and ticket status appear. You can view and download your ticket from the same screen.

Enter the surname exactly as it appears on the ticket; Turkish characters may have been replaced (e.g. “OZTURK” instead of “Öztürk”).

Common mistakes

• Mixing up 0 and O, 1 and I: copying the code from the e-mail is safest.
• The airline’s own code: on connecting or codeshare flights, the operating airline may use a different code. If check-in asks for it, you will find it on your e-ticket or in the airline’s e-mail.
• Bookings reserved without payment: a booking made with “Reserve now, pay later” also has a PNR, but you cannot fly until it is paid and ticketed. If the time limit passes, the booking is released.
